About PatchMeter

PatchMeter is an unofficial digest of recent patch notes. Data refreshes automatically every 6 hours from official sources — the Steam News API and the Riot and Blizzard news pages. Your browser only loads this site's own files and makes no third-party requests. RSS feeds are available for all games and for each game.

Auto-classification

Each line is tagged Buff, Nerf, Adjust, New, Removed or Fix automatically. Buff or Nerf is decided from the direction of the numbers (for example “70 ⇒ 80” or “from 6 to 8 seconds”), inverted for stats where lower is better such as cooldowns, costs and reload times. Developer commentary and general prose are not tagged. Where the official notes group lines under a champion, agent or hero, the line is attached to that name, which powers the per-character history pages. Tags can still be wrong. Every patch links to its official source.

Current meta

The meta panel is derived from patch notes: characters or items with more buff than nerf lines in the latest classified patch are trending up, the reverse trending down. It is not a tier list or win-rate data; third-party stats sites were not used because their terms generally prohibit scraping.
